In Drawing Foundations he introduces the basics of academic drawing from life by teaching 'drawing metrics' — how artists make measurements to heighten accuracy and realism. This is fundamental to realism as well as contemporary styles. An intensive workshop that includes an intro to materials usage; equipment selection; basic drawing techniques (including proportional, comparative, sight-size); lines & solids; values; measuring; etc.. In the age-old art college tradition students will learn by copying master works then develop their own works using these techniques, styles and palettes.
